Jade and Cloisonne Screen

FINE c1920 CHINESE CARVED CIXI LACQUER JADE & CLOISONNE INLAID SCREEN

Condition: The screen has a few small jade pieces missing from the base and some imperfections and minor losses and cracks to the lacquer. I believe such condition issues would be found on most or all “estate fresh” screens of this antique age. As you can see the screen is in overall substantially good and very presentable condition. I am sure someone could do restoration work on the screen if desired as well.

Size: Each panel measures 72 inches tall, by 16 inches wide each for a total length of around 100 inches if spread out flat.

Provenance: This screen is fresh from a Prominent Montreal estate collection. The family lived in Shanghai from 1927-1944 when they decided to flee due to world war 2. This screen along with many other items we will be offering were brought out of China at the time.
