Size: The floor screen is an impressive large example that is an amazing piece to display with the plaque itself measuring 31 1/2 inches tall, by 24 inches wide. The plaque with stand measures 42 1/2 inches tall, by 32 inches long, and 10 inches wide at the base. This is the type of example that can make a good cinnabar collection great. The screen can be both displayed on the floor and also looks amazing on an alter or long side table as the estate had it displayed. I have taken one of the last pictures with a 10-inch cinnabar vase to show the screen's impressive size in comparison.

Condition: The screen is in very fine original condition with no damage, missing pieces, or any condition issued whatsoever, it has been very well looked after.

Provenance: I am told this screen was purchased in the 1960s around 55 years ago in Shanghai at the famous “Shanghai antiques and curio shop”. This shop was started in the late Qing dynasty and was the only shop authorized in mainland China at the time to sell Chinese antiques that could be taken out of the country. Many presidents and other famous people have visited and purchased items from this shop over the past 100 or so years. I believe this screen would date from the later Qing to Republic period.
